New York City.
New York changed me. It touched parts of me that I didn’t even know existed. It made me shiver, cry, scream with joy.
It made me feel alive. And I owe it everything I have.
Here you’ll find glimpses of my life as a:
- student-athlete
- business co-owner
- professional soccer player
- speaker
and more…
P.S. How did ‘Mattia Cella’ get on that Times Square billboard?
During the Summer of 2022, I was hired by Morgan Stanley as a Summer Associate, in the Marketing Department. It signified a big personal win, and THIS is how they welcomed their interns! 😁

I liked the website logo ( I made it in literally 1 minute) so much, that I made a hat out of it.
And I asked a stranger to take me a picture with it 😂

Let’s

Quick NYC story👇
09/23/2022
I’m on a train back from Manhattan.
The absolutely exhausting day didn’t justify the stupid decision to lay my feet on the empty seat in front of me.
Promptly, and well-deservedly, a train conductor approaches from behind:
“Buddy, keep those f*****g feet off the seat.”
Everyone is now looking at me. I’m as embarrassed as ever.
I immediately apologize and take them off.
But despite that, she’s very abrupt and raises her tone.
I could tell it wasn’t her best day ever.
In fact, she didn’t have enough.
Before walking away, she turns and asks me:
“Do you keep your feet on furniture at your fu****g house?”
As a matter of fact yes, like many other people. But she’s right, and I’m not in a position to argue with her.
So instead, I gently reply:
“No, I’m sorry…
…but do you ask for tickets at your house?”
Something inside me told me that all she needed was to hear a joke.
Well, luckily for me…
..she can’t stop laughing! We even end up hugging!
“That’s the best answer I ever got… made my day.”
She leaves nodding her head and smiling, while other passengers smile at her.
Unnecessary moral of the story:
When people are going too hard on me, I try not to take it personally (doesn’t work all the time).
Instead, I force myself to think that they might not be having their best day ever.
And that’s actually what their attitude hides, 99% of the time.
