Pancakes.

My friends often ask me what made me pack my bags and leave a beautiful country like Italy to come and live in the USA.

Here's how it usually goes:

“Wait… you’re from Italy? What are you doing HERE?!”

"I'd trade with you in a heartbeat."

"I bet you can't wait to go back home."

I always answer that as much as I love it, I don't miss it.

Sure, I do miss the people.

And sure, the US has its downsides - like any other country - but there’s everything one can possibly desire in here.

With a merit-based, fair way to obtain it (at least in my experience).

I owe this country so much, and I’m grateful every day to call it my home. 🏠

P.S. And pancakes. Of course.
